I-AA
TODAY Background
I-AA
TODAY was
created by Otto Fad, originator of the I-AA daily newsletter. In 1998
Otto began providing daily information updates to SID's, AD's, and other
college athletics professionals. Overwhelming positive feedback prompted
him to expand into a newsletter format and share with fans and alumni
from across the country, via CFAA Update. That product
continued to evolve over several years and a couple of affiliations,
before Fad took a hiatus from the daily newsletter to focus on providing
I-AA coverage for The Sports Network, Lindy's
National College Football Preview, USAToday.com,
and SportsLine.com, plus radio reports and analysis for WDEL-AM
and dozens of other stations and networks (including I-AA playoff
reports for ESPN Radio's College Football Gameday program
with Mel Kiper, Jr. and Larry Biel). After just a few months away from
producing the daily newsletter, the clamor mounted to fill a gaping void
in information, analysis, and entertainment for college football fans.
That's how I-AA
TODAY came
to be!
