Hall of Fame Risk With High Reward Potential
It sounded ridiculous at first. Columbia athletics are known for perennially disappointing teams, student apathy, and fencing championships. The only tradition that would register with current students is that of losing. There is the expectation every Friday and Saturday of the same old team, the same old story, and at times it doesn’t seem like the ship will ever be righted. But nevertheless, this Saturday night, there will be the first induction ceremony into the newly created Columbia Hall (really just a wall) of Fame. It will highlight some truly great athletes, from a an Olympic gold-medalist swimmer to one of the best players to ever hold a baseball bat. Visit Website ]

Sports Marketing? It's About Time
Anyone who’s been around for at least a year and traveled to a home football game in the fall knows that the Baker Field Complex was different—and not just because the tailgating policy changed. The venue looked like, well, a venue—lined with balloons, signage and other decorations that made the 215th Street complex seem like a home for Columbia. Visit Website ]
