USD Set To Begin Spring Practice Drills
Third year head coach Jim Harbaugh and his staff, coming off the program's best season ever (11-1 overall; 4-0 PFL Champions; No. 1 The Sports Network I-AA Mid-Major Team), will get their first look at their 2006 squad when they begin spring practice drills on Tuesday, February 14th at 1:30 pm at the Manchester Athletic Field. It will be the first of twelve scheduled practice dates that will end on Thursday, March 9th.

Milligan going to Austin Peay
When the time came to choose between playing baseball or football in college, Hardin County's Adam Milligan followed his heart. "I just liked football better and thought I'd have more opportunities in college," Milligan said. Milligan followed his heart again Wednesday when he signed a letter of intent to play football for NCAA Division I-AA Austin Peay starting next fall.

Dave Blank was the perfect storm. The outgoing Drake athletic director was a basketball coach turned bureaucrat. He understood the intricacies of Title IX and the 2-1-2 matchup zone. He knew how to juggle numbers. How to jump through hoops while smothered in red tape. He was blessed with a sense of humor, a sympathetic ear and a handshake like a vise.

Valparaiso University Names Stacy Adams Head Football Coach
Valparaiso University Director of Athletics Mark LaBarbera has announced the appointment of Stacy Adams as head football coach, effective immediately. Adams, who has served as an assistant football coach at Valpo for the last 14 seasons, succeeds Tom Horne, who resigned Monday for personal reasons after 16 seasons.
