Following a 110-play scrimmage Saturday, the TCU football team returned to the field Monday for its eighth practice of the spring.

For the first time since spring drills began, the Horned Frogs will practice four times in a week. TCU will also practice Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Frog coach Gary Patterson has referred to this week as critical for his defending Mountain West Conference champions.

"We were a little bit sluggish coming off Saturday which I anticipated, but we've got to push through," Patterson said. "This is the week that makes or breaks our football team in the spring, and we've got three more (practices) to go."

TCU will also practice four times next week, culminating in the April 8 Spring Game.
