Bellefonte star receiver heading to RMU
Carson had opportunities to play college football at the Division I-A level. When he would see the field, however, was unclear. So in the end, the chance to start as a freshman was one of the overwhelming factors in the former Bellefonte standout's decision to sign a letter of intent to attend Robert Morris, a Division I-AA school in Pittsburgh.

Monmouth star faster, stronger for NFL combine
It wasn't that Miles Austin didn't believe his coaches. He just wanted to see it in writing. In late December, the Monmouth wide receiver heard rumblings that he would be invited to the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis. But it wasn't until he got a letter from the selection committee in early January that he allowed himself to celebrate.

Tyler signs D-I football letter of intent
The Rocky Hill Terriers football program, after a 9-1 regular season and an appearance in the Class S playoffs, bore NCAA Division I college fruit for the first time on Feb. 1, 2006 when defensive end/tight end Chris Tyler signed a letter of intent to be a scholarship football player at Stony Brook University, part of the State University of New York education system.

Valley's Santucci chooses I-AA Stony Brook
On highlight tapes, Tyler Santucci can stand out like one of those computer-generated "Madden" players, mainly because of the way he hits opposing players and the vicious way he brings down ball-carriers. The Valley senior linebacker's aggressive style of play was a hit with Stony Brook University.
